Hyde No 12 Pot Still is made from malted and unmalted barley and oats. After the triple distillation in Pot Stills, the whiskey is matured in heavily burnt Bourbon casks (so-called "Alligator" casks) and then in Oloroso Sherry casks. The year 1893 on the label is intended to commemorate the marriage of Douglas Hyde (1st President of the independent Republic of Ireland) to the German-born Lucy Kurtz.
Bottled in batches of 5,000 bottles.
