Arôme Sweet apple compote garnished with caramel biscuits, followed by cereals, tanned leather and vanilla.
Bouche Sweet and spicy on the palate with vanilla and sea salt, mixed with savoury meaty notes and freshly ground black pepper.
Finale Long, warm-spicy finish with maritime smoke and oak notes and an oily mouthfeel.

This Laphroaig was matured for over ten years in ex-bourbon casks and was bottled at cask strength without chill filtering for a particularly rich Taste. Only when bottled from the cask is the Laphroaig base filtered to remove unwanted charcoal particles.

Kommentar: Für mich der beste Laphroaig. Schöne Süße, schöne Rauchnote, aber nicht so rauchig wie erwartet. Alkohol kaum zu spüren. Wenn Wasser, dann nur wenig.
