The Old Perth Double Sherry Wood is a blended malt from the Morrison company and is part of the core range. Perth was once the world capital of whisky blending. The Old Perth Blended Malts continue this tradition. They contain only malts from sherry casks. In this case, they are single malts that have been matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and carefully blended together by production manager Graeme Mackeddie.

Aroma: Helle und lebhafte Noten von angenehm süßen roten Beeren mit Akzenten von in Sherry eingelegten Rosinen.

Geschmack: Sherrysüße, Trockenfrüchte und Sultanine, dazu sanfte Gewürze und eine malzige Komponente.

Abgang: Langanhaltend, dazu süße Trockenfrüchte und Malzzucker, am Ende folgt eine ganz sanfte Eichennote.
