The independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail bottled the Single Malts for many distilleries decades ago. Each distillery received an individual label, which was often considered the original bottling because no other bottlings existed. He was the only bottler to set aside the best casks for later times. We have still discovered a few bottles of this rarity in our stock. Sherry casks were used almost exclusively - for the many decades of maturation. A top whisky!

Strathisla has the distinction of being the oldest continuously operational distillery in Scotland. In an industry where starts and stops are rife, it’s pretty impressive to last as long as Strathisla has. It has been operational since 1786, which makes it to one of the few members of the “1700s” club in Scottish distillation.

Aroma: Süße, reife Früchte. Im Hintergrund ein Hauch Menthol mit gerösteter Eiche.
