Description du produit
Balblair is located in the small town of Edderton in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery takes its time producing the Single Malts, which are matured in traditional 'dunnage' warehouses with clay soils.
In 2019, the distillery introduced a new core range to replace the Core Range, which previously consisted of vintage bottlings.
The 15-year-old Single Malt was matured in former bourbon casks and then received its post-maturation in first-fill Spanish oak casks.

Balblair is one of the most northern distilleries of Scottland. It lies right next to the Dornoch Firth and was established in 1790. The distillery character is best described as 'very fruity and sweet Speyside Malt'. Balblair means fertile valley, but also battlefield. Geschmack: Sherry Fruit Honey

Abgang: Oak wenig , geht sehr harmonisch.

Kommentar: im Kreise v 2 sehr erfahrenen Whiskykennern verkostet. Hat bei Allen volle Begeisterung ausgelöst ( bevorzugen Beide i.d. Regel getorften Whisky) . Entdeckung des Abends -:)

Aroma: Sherry Zitrone dunkle Schokolade und ein Hauch an Lebkuchen

Geschmack: viel Gewürze Schärfe und frische Früchte mit viel Sherry.

Abgang: lang und der speichel fühlt sich so das man nochmal nach schlucken muss

Kommentar: auch wieder ein sehr leckerer Whisky, gehört definitiv zu meinen besten Whisky die ich in meinem Schrank habe.

Aroma: Sherry, Leder, Lebkuchen, Pflaume und frische Zitrone

Geschmack: Sehr scharf, dunkle Schokolade, tropische Früchte

Abgang: lang mit cremiger Vanille, Zitrone und Eiche

Kommentar: Wäre der Alkohol besser eingebunden dann 4 Sterne für den eigentlich schönen Whisky. Mir aber kommt der Alkohol zu deutlich durch und brennt im Mund, dafür einen halben Stern Abzug.

Kommentar: Einer der Letzen seiner Art? Whisky wie "früher". Kein draufgeklatscher und nasser Sherry. Super ausgewogen und total lecker.
Tiefer Sherry, Gewürze, Nüsse, und Eiche im Abgang.
Trotz dem Preis für einen 15 jährigen sehr zu empfehlen.
